Dave Taggett built homes and
commercial buildings starting in the '70s in Tucson,
AZ. His quest for better ways to build more environmentally
sensible systems, for everything from floor heating
to rainwater collection to whole house envelopes,
led to the creation of Mikey Block in 2002. Continual
refinements have made Mikey Block the best ICF system
available, and one that respects the environment
with its lower use of concrete grout; lower utility
bills for the homeowner; and with our recycling
of waste EPS in our cementitious products facility.
“‘Dave named his new product after his little brother
Mike, giving us Mikey Block”.
With our main headquarters in Tucson, and our molded
blocks produced in locations across the country,
along with distribution and warehousing in
Arizona,
Florida,
New Mexico,
Utah, and Wisconsin,
Mikey Block is now a truly national presence. We
continue to expand, and welcome inquiries from people
who would like to become part of the Mikey Block
team, as product reps or dealers. |
